Community Guidelines
Rule 1: Random Deathmatch - RDM
It's against server rules to attack another player randomly without engaging in some form of verbal RP first. Killing someone should be your final option. Repeatedly and exclusively seeking out to shoot anyone without reasonable cause will result in staff actioning. Staff will gather all information about any given incident before making a final decision. Be prepared to have any evidence as if you don't the outcome may hinder.
Rule 2: Vehicle Deathmatch - VDM
The use of your vehicle as a weapon is prohibited on the server. This includes ramming people off bikes. If someone is shooting at you then use your vehicle to flee the scene not run them over. You may use your vehicle as a weapon to only disable other vehicles.
Rule 3: Metagaming
Metagaming is the usage of any information your character has not found out in roleplay. This includes watching streams, using discord instead of the radios or phones provided in the server. If you have multiple characters your characters can NEVER share information with each other.
Rule 4: Powergaming
Powergaming is the use of unrealistic forms of roleplay or refusal of roleplay in order to give yourself an advantage. For example, if there is a room or wall between you and someone else talking, even though yes you as a player, hear it, your character would not so you must ignore that information. Similar powergaming violations include using crosshairs, forcing other people to use of their action menus and emoting through objects.
Rule 5: Cheating / Executing
The use of third party resources such as cheat menus and executors will result in a permanent ban. You may attempt to appeal a permanent ban if you believe you have been falsely banned.
Rule 6: Fear roleplay / Valuing your Life
You must fear for you life at all times like you would in real life. When in situations like being robbed, car accident ect you must appropriately fear and value your life. If you are being robbed or held at gun or knife point, you must follow their demands as if your life is on the line. If you don't you will likely be killed in roleplay followed by staff actioning.
Rule 7: Fail Roleplay
Engaging in realistic and immersive roleplay is essential for the enjoyment of all players on the server. All players are expected to actively participate in maintaining a sense of immersion and adhere to established roleplay guidelines. Examples of fail roleplay may include;
Breaking character or disrupting the immersive environment
Rejecting cooperation with other players in roleplay scenarios
Using out-of-character information during in-character interactions
Attempting physically impossible or highly improbable actions within the game world
Rule 8: New Life Rule
If you are downed and a paramedic does not arrive on scene within the death timer to revive you, then you must forget any and all the events that contributed leading up to your death. You cannot seek any kind of revenge for this and must pretend you do not know your killer moving forward. Body cameras cannot be used to remember events before your death.
Rule 9: Safezones / Hostilities
Designated areas across the map serve as safe zones, ensuring a violence-free environment. Engaging in hostile actions, such as shooting or ramming, is strictly prohibited within these zones. Moreover, it's against the rules to initiate hostile roleplay and then seek refuge in a safe zone. It's also forbidden to transport a player out of a safe zone to start hostile interactions.
Additionally, whitelisted businesses are also safezones. Any form of hostile roleplay within these premises is strictly off-limits. Gang & Org compounds are not recognised are safezones.
There must be minimum of 2 police to conduct hostile roleplay. If another player is antagonising you or threatening you without the required police, ignore it and report it to a staff member. There must be a minimum of 8 police to kidnap a police officer or emergency service. There is no exemption or acceptation for this ruling.
Rule 10: Roleplay Injuries
If you get shot, involved in a crash, fall from a high place or do one of a million other things that could get yourself hurt you are required to roleplay these out in a fair and reasonable manner. When paramedics arrive you cannot say “I need a revive”. You cannot respawn mid roleplay either If you are downed and your respawn timer ends but there is still a roleplay where you currently are then you need to remain on the scene until revived by an paramedic, taken to hospital by someone else or the scene clears of its own accord.
Rule 11: Breaking Character
Unless you are talking to staff and staff have made it clear the situation is out of character you are not permitted to talk out of character in the server. If a staff member hears this, regardless of context they can punish you under this rule. Out of character usage should also be kept for absolute emergencies.
Rule 12: Mature Themes
There is to be no sexual harassment, rape roleplay, suicide roleplay, or erotic roleplay of any kind on the server. Staff will be the final deciding factor on if a players actions is in violation of this rule.
Rule 13: Unrealistic Driving
Driving must be kept realistic. If you take vehicles inside buildings, into train tunnels or offroad and the vehicle is not reasonably capable of such a manoeuvre then expect to be carded by staff. If you go offroad slow down, take your turns slow and try to simulate the fact the surface is not as easy to drive on. If you crash while driving in a dangerous manner then you must adhere to Community Guidelines.
Rule 14: Robbing
Robbing other players in the server is permitted however opportunistic robbing or jumping into another players vehicle and driving off and/or entering their boot without context, is considered fail roleplay. Players with the sole intent to rob others to financially benefit themselves, or those who constantly perform a string of robberies, will be instructed to alter their roleplay.
Rule 15: Criminal Crews/Gangs/Organisations
Crews within the server are limited to 7 people max and must be registered within the Eligius Criminal Organisations discord. Crews are not permitted to have extra hangaround slots that surpass the 7 member limit.
Gangs in the server are limited to 15 people and must be registered within the Eligius Criminal Organisations discord. Gangs are permitted to have a max of 5 hangarounds that surpass the 15 member limit. Hangarounds cannot be involved in hostile roleplay under any circumstance.
Organisations are limited to 30 people. Leaders of these organisations must be whitelisted within the server and must be registered within the Eligius Criminal Organisations discord. Organisations are permitted to have a max of 10 hangarounds that surpass the 30 member limit. Hangarounds cannot be involved in hostile roleplay under any circumstance.
Rule 16: Real Money Trade
It is against Eligius Gaming guidelines to trade/buy/gift another player any form of item/vehicle for IRL (real life) currency. Anyone found to be breaching this rule will be permanently banned without an option for appeal.
